About me

Hello!

I am Marisol, a Mexican illustrator.

I graduated from the Enrique Díaz de León University with a degree in Design for Graphic Communication.

As an illustrator, I love interpreting and visually capturing literary texts and educational books. I also create portraits, character creation, graphic novels, and cartoons.

Editorial:

I worked for three consecutive years (2014, 2015 and 2016) laying out and illustrating the educational Bible book My Daily Bread .

I made the illustrations for the book Nacer , which will be released in 2022.


I illustrated and laid out the book Counting With God , which will be released in 2022.

I worked for 6 years for the publishing house Montenegro Editores, where I created illustrations for preschool, primary, secondary and high school books from 2017 to 2024, which are distributed throughout the Mexican Republic.


I made the illustrations for the author Engel Islas for his books: The stories Misa de alba and the novel Mortis. (2019 - 2023)

For the publishing house BABIDI-BÚ I illustrated the children's books: Luna and the Dragon and Luna and the Magic Signs. (2023 - 2024)


I did the layout and illustration of the three books by the author Psic. Sandra López, I'm going to miss you, Goodbye grandma and grandpa and My parents have divorced. (2019 - 2023)

I illustrated and laid out the three Mi patio escolar textbooks for an independent publisher. (2024)

Awards:

In 2016, I was among the 15 winners in the UNICEF call for entries, whose theme was a children's Christmas card, for which I received a mention and a monetary prize.

Presentations:

In 2022 I was invited to give a talk for the Enrique Díaz de León University entitled "The art of making a hobby a profession."
